Cafe Con Tampa
Want to know about the city’s latest development project? Eager to learn more about historic preservation? Have a question about the political landscape? Want to grill a city council member? No topic is off limits at Café con Tampa whose founders describe the forum as a place for insightful conversations.
Café con Tampa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that holds community forums to discuss important issues facing Tampa Bay. Our weekly gatherings of neighborhood and community leaders take place on Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at The Portico at 1001 N. Florida Ave., Tampa.
At the Friday gatherings, we have speakers who talk for 8-10 minutes. The rest of the time is spent with Q&A and discussion of issues brought up by participants. We also encourage participants to make community announcements at the beginning of the program.
We also hold other community forums and gatherings.
Meet the Organizer
On Friday mornings over steaming cups of coffee and breakfast, people gather at The Portico to listen, ask questions and learn about what’s going on in Tampa or just as likely the world at-large.
