About Us
Dementia Spotlight Foundation
We are committed to educating both family and professional caregivers about dementia-related diseases and enhancing the supports and standards of care needed. There are over 120 medical diagnoses leading to symptoms of dementia & the journey of dementia differs for each person depending on age, health, and the type of dementia diagnosis.
Dementia is a complex and often misunderstood disease that affects millions of individuals and their families in the United States. Unfortunately, there remains a severe lack of funding, education, and resources available to those who need them most. While research for a cure is ongoing, the reality is that over 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia.
Dementia Spotlight Foundation (DSF) was created to bridge that gap. We offer practical help and guidance through education and training programs, community support, and resources to help families navigate diagnosis and evolving needs.
We hope to show that there is quality of life after diagnosis and be a guiding light to help you navigate living with dementia. At DSF, we focus on LIFE before loss, RIGHTS before research, and CARE before cure.
